Walking and Hiking

From challenging multi-day hikes in the high country to beautiful nature walks and historic town trails, the region has something for everyone.

Mount Buffalo National Park

While relaxing on the back verandah you will be able to look across at Mount Buffalo National Park. It’s highest point “The Horn” lies at 1,723 metres but a short walking track (about 45min return)  leads to The Horn from the end of the road and visitors can enjoy a 360 degree view from the top.

There are many other walking tracks in the national park and the Buffalo Chalet is not to be missed as well as the Lake Catani walk and many waterfalls.
